The hidden gem that is the Lyth Valley is couldn’t make a better setting or destination for a Christmas break. Famous for its damson’s, the area exudes charm and rural Cumbrian idealism and is worth visiting to sample the famous damson gin alone.
This area has the benefit of being close to the towns of Windermere, Grange over Sands and Kendal, the M6 just 6 miles away and the Lake District fells and lakes on the doorstep. Choose a self catering cottage and bring the dog too saving on kennel fees. Imagine the thought of being able to enjoy Christmas with the whole family whether they have two legs or four?!
